Homegrown Foods is exactly what it’s called: good homegrown midwest cooking. The company, started in 2015 by Aleksandra Till and her husband the company focuses on sourcing locally produced vegetables, meats, and dairy to use in their recipes.
Meals are organic, gluten-free and as mentioned, sourced locally. Meals are midwest-rooted but with international flavors. For example there is pizza but there is also Moroccan vegetable couscous.
The blending of familiar base carbs with new and unique meats, garnishes and seasonings brings some much needed spice to what can sometimes be a relatively bland midwestern palate.
It is this innovation and focus on healthy ingredients that has resulted in local press including CNS Minnesota, Twin Cities Pioneer Press, Minnesota Monthly, and Minnesota Parent praising Homegrown Foods.
